Knowledge Transfer: Where Knowledge Becomes Capability

This year’s Way2Go returned to the Zonar Hotel, bringing HR professionals, entrepreneurs, L&D experts, clients, partners, and collaborators together under one roof.

Over good food and great company, we listened to panelists share stories on the theme that ran through the whole event: Knowledge Transfer.

In its simplest form, knowledge transfer is when someone shares what they know with someone else. In a company, though, it means something bigger: it’s the moment one person’s knowledge becomes the organization’s capability.

Case Studies: Knowledge Transfer Within an Organization

The first panel brought together Podravka, AutoZubak, and KentBank, who shared how they approach knowledge transfer inside their own walls.

Podravka was represented by Ana Wölfling and Karmen Zadro, who introduced the company’s development platform, Male tajne velikih majstora Podravke (Small Secrets of Podravka’s Great Masters). Built to develop expertise, prepare for the competencies of the future, and pass knowledge between generations of employees, it is a comprehensive platform dedicated to knowledge transfer.

AutoZubak was represented by Antonio Novak and Janko Erdelja, who walked us through the AutoZubak EDU academies. The journey began with academies for hard-to-fill occupations such as auto body repairers, auto painters, and damage appraisers. Once the programs proved successful in developing new employees, the team turned to sales representatives, supporting their growth with a digital LMS platform.

KentBank shared its story through Tomislav Ivezić, Director of Human Resources Management. As part of a broader digital transition, the bank fully digitalized its approach to training with the LPC® LMS platform. Every employee is now part of the online training platform, and more than 90% use it actively.

Despite their different industries and sizes, all three companies voiced similar concerns and challenges when it came to implementing digital training and development.

Case studies: Knowledge Transfer Beyond the Organization’s Boundaries

What does knowledge transfer look like when the motivation is bigger than the organization itself?

Hrvatski Telekom answered that question through Anamarija Minarski and Marina Burazer, who shared the story of AI ti to možeš!, a national initiative launched to raise AI literacy. The results were remarkable: more than 23% of the population learned about artificial intelligence, and they did so in Croatian.

Powered by the LPC LMS platform, HT created 14 educational webinars with accompanying online courses and certificates, which more than 7,100 people completed. Across all channels, the initiative generated around 200,000 hours of learning.

Their commitment to building national awareness and literacy delivered results beyond expectations, and the project will continue.
